Seeing Guru’s Subtle Form

One time we stayed behind after Sevananda’s meditation class in Kodanda’s basement. It was late, our minds fell asleep gradually.
We decided to meditate one last time to close the sessions. It was just Adrien and I.
I looked at him out of the corner of my eye as I was supposed to be meditating… admiring his stoic concentration on Guru’s pictures.
Then I remembered something significant.
“Tonight let us concentrate not on the idea that Guru is someplace faraway in space. Let us concentrate on His presence inside this room.”
I shifted my focus to the space in front of the Transcendental, where energy was accumulating. I began to see a faint blue light glowing dimly, until it became the transparent figure of Guru. He was wearing a light blue dhoti, hands folded, standing at the front of the room, meditating.
The silence in the atmosphere was tangible.
Adrien broke it a minute or two later.
“He was here,” he said.
“What do you mean?” I asked, wanting to hear it from him first.
Then he described what I saw.
When I told him both of us had seen the same thing, we were delighted! We immediately called Kodanda and got his sleepy, “after-midnight” voice.
